Who’s husband is she talking about? Not mine. Mine would not leave my side when I went through PPD. He will do everything for me and the kids if I’m not feeling good or just on regular days, he cooks, does laundry, helps the kids with schoolwork, just everything. My husband would NEVER just drop me off at a hospital and leave and ESPECIALLY go do something fun.

I was in the hospital recently for suspected apendicitis. My husband was SO hesitant to leave me but did so only after getting assurances someone would call him if it became an emergency. He took the kids to dinner, bathed them, tucked them in, had my MIL come babysit and then raced to be back at my side. Maybe my standards are high, but I feel like that behavior is where the bar for your partner should be at.
