@fox12oregon: The family of Marc Fogle, a 54-year-old commercial truck driver who died after being stabbed 17 times by a Clark County sheriff’s deputy last year, has filed a $27 million claim against the county, alleging the killing was unjustified and that deputies muted their body cameras in the chaotic minutes afterward. “This started as a one-car collision DUI stop,” said Attorney Mark Lindquist. “At the station, there was some kind of confrontation, and it ended with the deputy stabbing the victim 17 times with a personal dagger.” A struggle broke out and body camera audio captures Layton warning Fogle he was “gonna get f---ing shot.” Fogle’s response: “Yeah, that’s what I want.” Moments later, Layton’s body camera goes dark. When the video resumes roughly two minutes later, Fogle is on the ground, bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
