@amaniuppal: Narcissism can become a deeply unhealthy pattern where control matters more than connection and being right matters more than understanding how their actions hurt others. They often create their own version of reality, where their words and feelings are treated as the absolute truth, while anyone who disagrees is dismissed, blamed, or made to feel foolish. They may surround themselves with people who constantly say “yes” because agreement gives them the validation and control they seek. You cannot force someone to recognize what they refuse to see, and you cannot heal a person who does not believe anything is wrong. Sometimes the healthiest choice is distance. And if distance isn’t possible, protect your peace by saying less, explaining less, and reacting less. Remember: they may provoke you because they want a reaction. Your silence, your boundaries, and your emotional distance can be your greatest protection.
