for anyone craving this but not wanting to do all that, I make almost this but entirely in the ricecooker. 2 cups of rice and the usual amount of water you use for it, 2 tbsp of chicken bouillon in there, sprinkle of white pepper and salt, minced ginger garlic and scalion in the water. rub salt and white pepper on skinless boneless chicken thighs, I usually use 4 pieces. add it to the the ricecooke as well. cook for 30 mins. or if your rice cooker takes 50 mins, add chicken 25 minutes or so in. only thing i make outside the ricecooker is the scallion oil. i just use a small pan to heat up the ginger garlic and scallion in a bit of veg oil
