it's not a scam and the parking officer is absolutely correct. there are three different ways to pay therefore if you cannot use the machine you can use Park mobile if you cannot use parkmobile you can go and use the actual website if you can't use the website you can also call so there are multiple ways to make payments in DC. also if they don't pay and the machine isn't working it is up to the officer whether they want to time you for the designated time of that area. once your time is up you get a ticket. please people before you come and start talking about people cities and places and people and what they're doing for their job look it up first. and nine times out of 10 the way he was talking to that ticket officer was probably nasty so instead of the officer working something out with him he got the ticket anyway. tough titty n**** stop going to the city

Nah they’re definitely writing bad tickets. I paid and extended my time twice. Came back to a ticket on my car saying it was no parking during the time I was able to extend… If it’s no parking then why did yall take my money? That’s stealing

I was on K Street, and there was a double standard with a sign saying I could park between certain times and a sign next to it saying no parking anytime, so I took it to court and they told me I had to pay because it said no parking anytime.
