For an upper elementary school classroom, there could be 2 teams, and letters on the fish. When time is up, the team has to spell as many words as they can with the fish/letters they catch.

I would do a 5 min arts and crafts time and have everyone decorate their fish. Then play a song and say whoever’s fish is on the plate at the end of the song or when the sone pauses wins.

Put points on the fish. Have several colored paper plates- each color is a team. You can fan fish onto your plate and off others’ plates… in the right amount of time . Pounds of fish win
