You understand what your argument is insights division once again. Because by your point no black person can be British so therefore perhaps we all need to go home… in addition, when we think about nationality it’s to do with patriarchy and one’s self worth. So saying black brits should strip that name is very odd and a backwards way of thinking. We know nothing except what we have been told. Don’t ever forget that.

African American people aren’t African. They have a mixture of African genetics but have successfully forged entirely different cultures in the face of white suppression that deserve to be acknowledged as distinct from other people in the diaspora. Calling people who have possibly never so much as been to Africa - who may not share the same histories, language or even native cuisine as their ancestors - ‘new African’ is quite disrespectful to the African people who reside in and hale from Africa.
