They have pedestrian walk ways and entrances and exits. There is no danger of him hitting anyone if he does then it’s the people walking that are in the wrong place. And double stacked he has to go in forward, it’s even part of the training.

The regulations need to be changed where all areas that have forlklifts operating those areas should be completely shut off from all pedestrians and if your found to be walking or standing in that area your the one that gets in trouble because you should not be there that how it was at smirfit they had traffic light systems in place if you needs to cross the forlklift zone and the forlklift would automatically stop so that’s the system all other warehouses should have in place

If there’s a slope going up into the warehouse you drive forward with the load in front of you the same as if there’s a a slope exiting the warehouse you reverse out yiu never don’t and reverse up a slope fully Leyden says so in the theory test

The difference between proper trained and in-house trained, one learns everything the other only learns what’s deemed necessary for the job needed. I have seen and experienced both types of training, the reverse argument is typical of in-house trained operators but some proper trained will also do this unless corrected by management. Not sure what training this operator has had but management seems to be oblivious to how a FLT operator should drive with loads.
