This is me too! I like to go to bed early, around 9pm. I nodd off and on throughout the night, sometimes I just lay awake for hours!!
I'm up at 6am. I'm sure it's an age thing 😂

It's probably the ADHD. In the evening wear yourself out going to the gym or a long walk

Try glycine but be careful not to overdose if you are already taking magnesium glycinate. It helps a bit . It’s horrible isn’t it. It think it’s a mix of all three things 😭

A prescription antihistamine 25mg that I am allowed to use twice a week to knock me out. I slept 4 hours a night.

I find fasting and decreasing calories calming but it’s not for everyone.

I believe we change! Things we tolerated we maybe just don’t… for example I used to be totally fine with a cuppa tea after 8pm.. now I need decaf. Glass of wine, wouldn’t have had any affect on me… now it’ll knock my sleep. Mobile phone use!! The nights I read a book/kindle before sleep I sleep much much better x

I haven’t slept through the night since the menopause- and I’m retired now. Sorry to deliver that news but I just go with it now and don’t worry about it. I think worrying about it especially if you know you have to work makes it worse.

I've been an insomniac for the last 20 years or so and perimenopause definitely made it worse. Like you, I get to sleep easily but can't stay asleep. Funnily enough, I had a full hysterectomy recently which threw me into surgical menopause at 47 and despite waking a few times a night with hot flushes etc, I'm actually sleeping better than I did before the surgery most nights 😂

I usually wake about 2.40am. I put it down to having worked nights in the past, menopause and stress. It got worse when I got divorced and have been on my own. The annoying thing is I’ll fall asleep on the sofa in the evening but can’t stay asleep when I go to bed. Not sure what the answer is
