A Diplomatic Appeal for Protection Lumbuye has become a prominent voice for many Ugandans, including young people, vulnerable communities, prisoners, and others who feel that their concerns are not adequately heard. His supporters regard his advocacy as an important expression of the aspirations and grievances of many people. At this important moment, we respectfully appeal to the Government of Türkiye and the relevant authorities to give careful consideration to his safety, dignity, and fundamental human rights. We trust that Türkiye, as a country committed to the principles of justice and the rule of law, will ensure that any decision concerning his future is guided by due process and a thorough assessment of the circumstances and any potential risks he may face. Dear Turkey Embassy, Fredrick lumbuye is not a criminal in our country. He is a freedom fighter, like many other people who speak out for the rights and freedom of Ugandans. President Museveni and his son may want to silence us, but we cannot keep quiet when we see what is happening in our country. We cannot remain silent when Ugandans are allegedly being kidnapped, arrested without proper justification, and when innocent people are being killed. We are asking the Turkey Embassy to listen to the concerns of Ugandan citizens and to stand for the rights, safety, and freedom of all Ugandans. We cannot keep quiet while our country is suffering.
