God said they would die in the garden if they took of the fruit, but they didn't die, so that was the first lie. The serpent told the truth and God confirmed that the serpent told the truth, they didn't die and they now knew good from evil in Genesis 3:22. What they didn't understand but the serpent did, was the implications of disobeying God. The Hebrew word for die that God said when talking to Adam was an immediate physical death. There is no mention of a spiritual death, so don't try to tell anyone that. The serpent is not labeled the devil or Satan but based on the serpent's curse God gave it, it probably used to have legs.

I trust God completely. But it hurts when i know he is capable of doing something and he doesn't even when i have complete faith in him. I understand that his time is different from ours and so is his ways but it still hurts. Does anyone feel the same way too? If so how do you deal with that feeling.

What I struggle with right now is “Love Me, worship Me, or you will spend eternity in damnation.” I’m paraphrasing this but it’s the reality. This is reward through fear. I know love. We are Gods children, right? I have children. I love them deeply but they don’t love me in return out of fear that I would shun them or cast them away. There are no consequences for them not loving me in return other than a broken relationship. But forever they are welcome in my house because my love for them will never end. This isn’t the case with God. His love is conditional and we have a short window, only while we are alive to prove our love to Him or suffer or be rewarded for eternity, and the Bible states this many times. Granted, He has that right because He is more powerful than anything. He is the creator. But it’s still punishable by eternal damnation if you don’t give Him exactly what He wants. It is still ruling by fear.

I wish you will reply to this. Who is God without his blessing? His creation is a blessing, the air we breathe is a blessing. If he wasn’t blessing at all, what will make us understand that he’s God? The truth is God is good we serve the good Lord.

😲😲 This is so true, we acknowledge God's faithfulness and that His unchangeable nature yet we often are quick to question His character when faced with fear and uncertainties. God's love is out of His grace and we do nothing to earn it. Christ's love is unchangeable regardless of the situation we find ourselves in, He still will save us if only we believe.

God’s character had not changed during Job’s suffering. Job’s circumstances had changed dramatically, but God had not. Job had to learn that the absence of an explanation does not mean the absence of God, nor does suffering prove that God has ceased to be trustworthy. Job’s response pleased God. Yes, Job was suffering in his pain “out loud.” Yes he had questions and did not understand. But afterward when faced by God, Job’s response was appropriate and this pleased God. Job’s response is remarkable: “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:5–6). Job had pointed out that there was none qualified to be a daysman or arbiter between man and God. And Job received something greater than an explanation. He encountered God Himself. Once Job saw more clearly who God was, he no longer demanded an explanation for everything he had suffered. I love the book of Job because Job literally points out the gap Jesus Christ came to fill. 🥰

There’s a point in my Christian journey I became scared of God, literally like if I don’t pray I feel God will punish, if I skip a Christian video God will get mad at me, gradually i understand my Lord is a loving God, having the fear of God doesn’t mean I should get scared of God, having the fear of God means if I go against my father I will get punished, the fear of God is a holy fear, if someone don’t have the fear of God that person is not for God, the fear of God makes decisions for you, yes if you sin God will punish you, your earthly father canes you when you misbehave or do something wrong but does that means your father doesn’t love you? If you have fear for your earthly masters, the fear of God is love

Reason why I believe God is not so harsh on us for sinning in a way that he requires a middle-man before we(God’s Children) can come to him. I believe in the existence of Jesus but I don’t believe he is the medium through which we can get to God. You and I can go to the presence of God even in our sins, especially in our sins
