I need people who have actually been to Japan to comment here as to whether it's really as amazing as this makes it sound.

All accurate. I live in the US. I could not get over the respect and discipline of children and young adults. My adult son and I visited the Hiroshima Museum and we were among 100’s of Japanese school children on a field trip. You could have heard a pin drop. No talking, no antics and complete reverence to the past. Everyone was kind to us and would help if we even appeared confused. Of course we researched culture and courtesy before visiting as guests and learned basic words like Hello, Thank you, Where is, Beautiful, How many, etc. As an American with a passion for travel, the world could learn a lot from these people.

I wouldn't like to have robots as servers in a restaurant or guides in a museum. Other than robots in those places, it's all very efficient. I love the disciplined part.

This country has fallen way behind many Asian countries and probably will never catch up because of all the greed at the top of the population who don’t care
