@vandersirbisluv: I am tired of hiding my Religion " Islam Works for Me" The quote is attributed to Nollywood actress Adunni Ade, and multiple Nigerian news outlets reported it today, September 18, 2026, following an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. However, the wording you shared appears to be a paraphrased/social-media version rather than her exact statement. In the reported interview, Adunni Ade said she felt publicly identifying as Muslim in her line of work was “almost forbidden” and that she could be looked down upon for doing so. She explained that she eventually spoke openly because she was tired of keeping her faith secret. She also said: She had attended different churches before. She was not saying Christianity was bad. She described Islam as “what works for me.” She said she lost some followers after publicly identifying as Muslim. According to her, some people sent her private messages, while many Muslims embraced and supported her. So, if you're sharing this as a factual post, it's safer to write “Adunni Ade said…” rather than presenting the circulating wording as a verbatim quote.
