🏰❤️ The CASTLE is finally coming to life! Sections 1 & 2 of “Storybook Wunderland” are finished, and I have been SO eager to get to this part of the quilt! 🎉 Neuschwanstein Castle and the Bavarian Alps were some of the elements I was most excited to piece. There is something about that castle tucked into the mountains that feels like it belongs inside the pages of a storybook. ❤️ And, of course, Neuschwanstein is famously connected to the inspiration behind Disney’s fairytale castles, which makes piecing this little version even more fun! When I designed “Storybook Wunderland”I decided to structure the pattern differently from anything I have written before. The quilt is divided into 12 sections,and within each section you will build the Foundation Paper Pieced elements and then layer in the appliqué before everything begins coming together into the larger landscape. It has been such a rewarding challenge to continue expanding my “Pieced & Placed: A Passport to Joy” series and finding new ways for FPP and appliqué to play together. Each quilt teaches me something new too, and I think that might be my favorite part of designing them. ❤️ Okay...
