New travel anxiety unlocked. 😂 Because apparently, my suitcase has a habit of going on its own little adventures—like these luggage emergencies. 🧳 🇫🇷 Paris: My bag never made it through my layover and was missing for days. I would’ve assumed it was gone, but my AirTag showed it sitting in the lost & found building at CDG. I could tell Air France exactly where it was instead of just waiting and hoping. 🇵🇹 Portugal: Someone else picked up my suitcase and went on their merry way with it. 😭 I watched the AirTag move from Lisbon to a boutique hotel in Lagos, found the hotel, and was able to contact them to get my bag back. Again, without that location, I probably would’ve had NO idea where to even start looking. 🇺🇸 Houston: I decided not to take my connecting flight to Nicaragua and asked the airline to retrieve my checked bag during my Houston layover. They told me it could take around 4 hours. But about 10 minutes after submitting the request, I opened Find My and saw my bag MOVING. 👀 Watching that little dot get closer let me know my bag was actually on its way back to me. Three times my AirTag gave me something incredibly valuable: peace of mind + a clue about what to do next. So yes, my AirTag comes EVERYWHERE with me — checked bag or carry-on. 😂 A few things I always do: 🔋 Replace the battery before a big trip if it’s showing low. 🕵️ Hide it somewhere inside the suitcase instead of an easily removable pouch or pocket. 📱 Add the AirTag to my partner’s device too, so there’s another phone that can track it if my phone dies. You can’t always prevent your bag from disappearing, but knowing WHERE it is can make a huge difference.
