If only that was true. My Dad ended up with Lewy body dementia…I always thought he adored me. He actually hated me when the disease took over 😭.

When noone came to see my Mom when she had this disease I knew in my heart my time with her was enough for us no matter if she knew who I was or not

That’s so my mom, she doesn’t know my name but when I walk in the room she lights up. When she first got sick she said always know that no matter how it seems I could never forget you bc you’re my heart. It helps me get through this hellacious disease.

Exactly! I teach my students this. They will never remember your name, but how you make them feel they will see every time, you arrive to be there for them.
