when i was in my twenties, i was sitting. one full grown construction man was standing holding on to the top railing, he was tall. but he was dozing off as he was standing. he seemed really dead tired. i stood up, altho i am a female, and asked him to sit. he was so thankful. i think if we are well, just let the tired or unobviously unwell people to ait

It's either first come first serve . Or giving up one's own seat to those who really needs it( and it's up to the individual to decide.)

Sometimes a person is unwell, but not shown on the face. Be gracious. Workers be it on site or office is also drained out after a hard day. But some people are selfish as they do not automatically give up the corner seat meant for the elderly.
