Personal experience (and diagnosed): when I hear “you’re special” my mind immediate goes to “cool, they are seeing the autistic side of me” which they usually end up saying “no, I meant you’re a special person to me”🤣🤣 gotta love my autism and adhd coming together to mess up a conversation
