They/ their ego doesn’t really care till you have strong boundaries completely shut the gates and keep them shut. NEVER stay or go back to someone like this even if they apologize it’s unacceptable. Know your souls worth, protect yourself self care stay no contact. abusive cruel type people don’t change they might for a few days then the ugly cycle will repeat an get worse I hear about it so many times. They need that toxic control over you to regulate themself while you get depleted because they lack and they should be in therapy so don’t enable them
