@mothershipsg: The Singapore Muaythai Association (SMA) has commenced a formal review of a recent muay thai match which resulted in a participant being critically injured. Mothership understands that he is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Held at the National Stadium on Sep. 12, the Fight for Hope AMC 13 – Fight for Hope tournament was organised in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation. The nature of the injury is currently unclear. SMA said in a Sep. 17 statement that medical assistance was administered by an on-site team before the individual was conveyed to hospital. The SCDF told Mothership that they received a call for assistance at 7.05pm and conveyed one person to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The police is currently investigating the incident.
