Problem is solved if no gaps are visible 🤷♂️most times ive done this the gaps are hidden behind the trim. Aka not visible

Attach good double sided (mounting or carpet) tape to a 2x4 block, 6-8 inches long. Tap with hammer (like in the video). Same results/principle, cheaper.

OK, so I was putting down duct tape and then hot gluing a board to the duct tape and then hammering the board. I could have/should have invented this 😭
