so my dm got a little... creative with how we met. Context: The ocean is bad and evil and the only landmasses that exist are islands. Some people have built artificial islands. The party was on one of said islands. We're all doing our own things. One member is at a gala talking to rich people. One is just walking around doing whatever tf radioactive goliaths do. Im checking into a hotel, an the other guy is working at the docks. The city is then hit by a giant tentacle. We basically all had to rush and find a boat to get off the island before a kraken collapsed the city and ate us.
