Some autistic people speak a lot. Some communicate differently. Some seek sensory input. Others are overwhelmed by it. Some need significant daily support. Others may need support that isn’t immediately visible. That’s why understanding autism starts with one important truth: ✨ If you’ve met one autistic person, you’ve met ONE autistic person. According to the CDC’s latest published U.S. data, about 1 in 31 eight-year-old children were identified with autism in 2022. But behind every statistic is an individual person with their own strengths, challenges, personality, needs, and potential. Autism is not caused by bad parenting. It is not one-size-fits-all. And support should never be one-size-fits-all either. The goal shouldn’t be to make autistic people look less autistic.
