100% mum is always asking about passed ones especially her mum my Nan we just say she's in the club playing bingo or on a day trip.

my late uncle whos sadly passed was in his latter yrs a decent artist he suffered with the same horrible disease,and one time we visited him he wanted to paint our youngest boy we sat him down for uncle john to start,he was ages at 1 brush ,keeping refreshing it,we never once checked his progress after about 50 mins and my son feeling uncomfy he said ok thats i done he turned it around ,and it was just a page with black circular marks on,broke our hearts 🫶

One thing you have to do is lie when you are caring for people with Dementia. I used to be a carer and I have seen men and women ask where their parents are and they are in their 80s. It is so heart breaking to lie, but you have to because they are so confused, it becomes like ground hog day ,but yes you are 100% correct.😏 so sad😔

I worked with dementia patients & a nurse came on our ward & a patient asked her to get her mum. The nurse replied if you are 88 do you think your mum is alive 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️omg we could not get her settled. 100% agree with you 🏴
