500k a month is okay for someone building, you don’t need to live in a 2.5m apartment you can get a 1.5m apartment in a good area, and have savings for investments, with 500k a month you can live comfortably in lagos, not luxuriously but comfortably.

A lot of people just have this weird mentality. Do you think everyone wants to be stagnant. Earning 500k will make you want to do bigger things. When you weren’t earning up to that, there are certain things you cannot dream of. Every human have a target of things in their bucket list to sort out every month. People have plans to get a car so they can be mobile, to get married, to get their own equipment. Not just that the insane amount to bills that must be settled from electricity bills, to transportation, data bills, even feeding, getting new items necessary to run the home smoothly while thinking how to save. Money only look big in paper. The 500k you are talking about cannot even get you your dream gaming laptop in Nigeria today. That 500k is the cost of some people gaming curve screen monitor they use for their remote work. So know that it only appears big but in terms of what it can afford it’s almost nothing.

With 1.2m you can get a mini flat in 60% of places in Lagos. That’s 100k per month. If you’re a single man or woman who doesn’t send money home every month, you’re fine.

Except you are working from home and don't do transportation, then you can manage. Transport to go barb hair and come back is N2k and I do that every week because my hair is going bald. You still pay barber. Now for someone doing transport to work, how much do you think you will be paying? How much is fuel? One mad man bashed my bumper the other day and I went to panel beater, just to fix it and spray paint fiam, N45k don comot for my pocket. I was just hissing upandan. The country is gone.
