He is appointed Lord by God Acts 2:36. That does not make him equal with God. God elevated among his creations aka firstborn of all creations. But again that does not make him God. Lord of a human does not mean God.

But, were they Also confessing that Jesus was a different person from the Father? I don’t quite see this tension in the scriptures. The only tension that seems to exist biblically is whether or not Jesus is God.. but whether or not he is the Father seems to be more of a post biblical development
