Obi-Kwankwaso Movement Unveils 59-member Presidential Campaign Council For 2027 The campaign council, announced on Thursday, comprises zonal and state coordinators as well as directors overseeing various areas of the campaign structure. The Director-General of the movement, John Ughulu, was named Director-General of the campaign, while the National Secretary, Saadatu Sani, is also a member of the campaign leadership. The structure has representatives from the six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory, with coordinators appointed for all 36 states. Other positions created within the council include directors for grassroots mobilisation, women affairs, contact and engagement, special duties, procurement, information technology, legal affairs, strategy and planning, security and intelligence, and administration. “ “The OK Movement is not built around individuals seeking personal recognition. It is a movement driven by a larger national vision: to mobilise Nigerians around the possibility of a better, more prosperous, united and functional Nigeria,” she added. Sani charged members of the council to demonstrate discipline, loyalty, humility and commitment as they undertake their responsibilities. She said the campaign would require grassroots mobilisation, strategic planning, effective communication and cooperation among members. “The road ahead will require hard work. It will require strategic thinking, grassroots mobilisation, effective communication and, above all, the ability to work together as one formidable political family,” she said. According to her, the immediate task of the council is to ensure that the message of Obi and Kwankwaso reaches voters across the country. “Our responsibility is to ensure that the message of our principals reaches every Nigerian and that the voice of the people is heard across the length and breadth of our nation,” she stated. Among those appointed as zonal coordinators are Suleiman Abubakar for the North-Central; Hashimu Dungurawa for the North-West; Amadu Gwambe for the North-East; Dr Adebayo Adefolaseye for the South-West; Christopher Ighodaro for the South-South; and El-Shaddai Ikeh for the South-East. The movement also appointed coordinators for each of the 36 states and the FCT. Other members of the campaign council include Rev. Mike Agbon, Director of Inter-Ethnic Group in Northern Nigeria; Sabo Gashua, Director of Grassroots Mobilisation; Glory Adayi, Director of Women Affairs; Kabir Yahaya, Director of Contact and Engagement; Abdumumini Tijjani, Director of Mobilisation; Yusuf Mani, Director of Special Duties; Peace Daful, Director of Procurement; Prof. Charles Nwekeaku, Director of South Eastern Town Hall; and Sunmisola Adebayo, Director of Information Technology. Kingdom Okere was named Director of Legal Affairs, while Abiodun Dabiri was appointed Director of Strategy and Planning. Richard Enemona, a retired Chief Superintendent of Police, was appointed Director of Security and Intelligence, while Aisha Abdulrahaman was named Director of Administration. The unveiling comes after the movement reaffirmed its decision last month to maintain its independent structure rather than merge with another political organisation ahead of the 2027 elections. It also reaffirmed Ughulu’s position as its founder and Director-General. The movement has also recently criticised the reported disruption of Obi’s convoy during his visit to Benue State and called for an impartial investigation into the incident. The OK Movement said its security personnel exercised restraint during the incident to prevent the situation from escalating into violence. With the unveiling of the campaign council, the movement is expected to intensify its grassroots mobilisation and organisational activities ahead of the 2027 general elections. #peterobiforpresident #fypシ
