People assume shadow is slow af without his air shoes, but he’s pretty close to his base speed without them. Even when he becomes a zombot, Sonic says “not so fast when you don’t know how to work your rocket skates huh? Your still faster than the average zombot though” that quote doesn’t seem like much, but shadow being able to run AT ALL as a zombot is impressive as hell

I've always thought the air shoes were to keep him from burning through energy too fast. He's as fast as Sonic without them but he'd tire out faster since he wears the inhibitors.

I mean again people have the misconception shadow isn't fast without the air shoes, now granted nowhere near sonic without them however with how fast he skates then him having super speed I mean cpme on its kind of in your face, shadow can go about a mild jog with sonic without the air shoes any faster he needs them to keep up.
