@smooth_bezel: Berneron Mirage 38 Miroir Yellow Movement on display. I think this might be my favourite watch I’ve seen during Geneva Watch Days 2026. The movement is no longer hidden behind a traditional dial. The architecture of the calibre becomes the dial. And this is where we start. Hand-wound Calibre 283, a mirrored development of the original Mirage movement. It has 135 components, 17 jewels, a free-sprung balance and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. Two barrels provide around 72 hours of power reserve. The movement is made from 18K gold, just like the case. The long list of movement decoration techniques include: • Guillochage — bridges

• Colimaçonnage — crown wheel
• Laser engraving — barrel
• Anglage — bridges
• Cerclage — balance bridge
• Traits tirés — click
• Nuagage — bridge pocket The case measures 38 × 34mm, with a lug-to-lug distance of 42mm and a thickness of just 7mm. Compact and elegant on the wrist, but with a lot of presence. The hand arrangement is inverted — minutes first, with the hours hand on top. The front is covered by scratch-resistant-treated hesalite, while the back is solid. Water resistance is rated at 30 metres. Berneron will make 36 pieces per metal each year, for a total of 360 pieces over a period of 10 years. It felt absolutely phenomenal on the wrist. It gave me vibes of 1970s and ’80s integrated sports watches, like the AP Bamboos and Cobras. If you like to feel like the boss of a gang, but without all the dirty business, get the Miroir in yellow gold on the bracelet and come back to thank me later. 😂 Stunning, stunning and, for lack of a better word… stunning!
