Asante Engineer…National Irrigation Board in Bura are really discouraging locals from Farming. Where my farm is located they charge us 3,500ksh/acre. I don’t mind paying but they don’t maintain the canals and mathenge took over the road. Most locals cant afford to pay , i think they should review this policy.

Eng. I absolutely agree with you,but it a reality that most of the borehole in the village are dug with traditional skill then this report of completion is unadmisible.Hence your ministry should review that with a local mwanainchi in mind.
