I once got done for overtaking a steam engine doing 3mph. Dead straight road with no immediate hazards but double white lines. The police car in the line behind me pulled me over. Go figure.

also that's double white lines in the middle of the road which means at no point are you allowed to cross them , just need to be patient with the cyclist untill it is safe to pass !!!!!!!

Under 10 mph you are allowed to over take on double white lines but it still has to be safe and where they did it is obviously not safe.

Relevant rule is HC129: "You may cross the line if necessary, provided the road is clear, to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are travelling at 10 mph (16 km/h) or less." Not really knowing the operating speed of that road, plus camera angle totally distorts speed, it's hard to say if it would be a fault or not. If you're reasonably expecting oncoming vehicles at 60, I'd certainly expect a serious fault Not the question, but you won't get a fault for waiting, it's probably best to just wait till after the bend

Although entitled to cross solid lane - bike was doing less than 10 mph, it’s a blind bend so dangerous driving!

Legally you can over take on solid white lines if the "Obstruction" is going slow for example cyclist, Horse Rider, Tractor etc - This situation they would fail due to overtaking on a "Blind Bend" which is classed as "Dangerous"
