@theculinarybee: A little reintroduction, because there are quite a few new faces around here lately 👋 Firstly, the BIGGEST thank you to every single one of you who helped me recently with the enormous account that was impersonating me. Honestly, I’m so grateful for you lot. All of your concerned messages, the amount of people doing the reports, comments and people looking out for me meant the bloody world. Now, back to the food. There is so much coming on here over the next few months. More History Served, more digging through old books and archives, more Lost & Endangered recipes that deserve to be cooked again, and plenty of Icons of the Isles, where I’ll be getting properly stuck into the stories behind some of our most famous dishes. And as always, I want you involved!!!! Keep commenting below or DMing me the recipes you think I need to cover. The ones your grandparents made. The ones you haven’t seen in years. The regional dishes nobody outside your county seems to know about. The puddings with questionable names.....(farts of portingale I'm looking at you...) The things you thought everyone ate until you mentioned them to someone else.....Nothing is too obscure! I will research until my eyes bleed. I am only half joking haha. I have a very long list already, but frankly, I’d like it to be longer. So Thank you for being here, whether you arrived yesterday or have been following my greedy little adventures for years. . . . #englishcuisine #englishfood #irishcuisine #scottishfood #ahomecookedyear

I love british food. I came here from Poland, and I find traditional British food bringing me as much comfort, as those I know from my old home

As a trad folk musician, this is the stuff I yearn for. The traditions, the history, the tangible copies of songs and stories and methods and recipes passed down over hundreds of years from generation to generation, changing and refining as they go until you can see the influence of each person that has touched them along the way.

People say they hate British food but absolutely love “hobbit food” and “tavern food” not realising they’re the same thing

You’re going to laugh, but thanks to you I’ve been able to bring staples to my family’s table as we live outside the UK! My husband is English & I’m Spanish, and through cooking things from scratch with ingredients I can find in our supermarkets, I’ve been able to bring up my kids in the culture their parents love so much. I am looking forward to the day we can move back to England, but until then, it’s people like you who help me bring a little bit of home to my own home 💖 you’re one of my comfort accounts and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you ✨ xx
