First off I think you should watch your language because how does tribal and hostile have anything to do with one another? Being tribal is a sense of community meaning you are able to think outside the box and it doesn’t play in greyscale observation. You’re not using the proper language if that’s not the message you wanted to convey and quite frankly, it sounds quite racist

Actually, it's a little more nuanced than that. Children under 11 can think abstractly, they're just not as good at it and it seems to get significantly better around the age of 11.

I agree 100%, but it's not just an MAGA problem. I spent a LOT of time arguing with flatters, moon landing deniers, and MAGA before I gave up after realizing there's absolutely no evidence or logic you can show them that they will accept. What surprised me though is that many leftist show the exact same patterns. For example, I've talked to many socialist/communist who couldn't comprehend anything outside of the slogans. They have extremely strong feelings on things like corporate profits, but know nothing about the basics of finance, to the point one thought Walmart could give their entire revenue to workers and couldn't understand there's a huge difference between gross profit and net profit, terms they've never heard. I asked several communists who would decide who lives in the crappy apartment building and who lives in the nice building with a beautiful view, and their heads almost exploded. They almost couldn't understand the question, and couldn't really respond because they had never been given a response to that, much like flat Earthers can't respond when asked things their leaders hasn't given an answer to. In a lot of ways the far left and the far right are identical, despite the education differences or differences in what their core beliefs are. And yes, the ideas on the left are much better than the ideas on the right. I'm not on the right, I'm on the left, just not the far left. And as much as MAFA is a cult, many on the far left act like they are in a cult, they just don't have a cult leader
