@turkeys.sekoko.uganda: STOP PULLING FEATHERS FROM LIVE TURKEYS! 🛑🦃 I see many farmers in Uganda pulling feathers thinking it helps. TRUTH: You are killing your turkey slowly. 1. Each feather has blood - pulling = wound = infection 2. Turkey will get cold at night, get flu & cough 3. Stressed turkey will stop eating & stop laying eggs 4. Feathers will grow back crooked & ugly - no buyer wants it What to do instead: - Leave feathers to fall naturally (molting) - If dirty, wipe with warm water cloth - If sick, give garlic water (see my last video) - don't pull feathers! - Only pluck AFTER slaughter Have you seen someone doing this?
