The biggest complaint I have with Triumph is their branding. I think it’s a shame they use their pedigree names for some of their weaker bikes. The Thruxton & Daytona are the biggest offenders. Making the 400 and 660 feels insulting to its predecessors. They’re good motorcycles, but call them something else and leave those badges for the premium bikes.

I've rode a daytona, found it 10x better than the r7. I mention thr R7 only because it's one of the top sellers in Australia. The daytona has a slightly better 0-100 R7 slightly better top speed. Essentially the same bike performance wise, but the R7 is far more sports oriented. Daytona was more comfortable for daily riding. Though I ended up with a street triple

I had a 03 speed triple, dog shit design, i miss it a lot, because what do you mean you put the wheel speed sensor inside the front wheel bearing made out of ceramic so it shatters if you hit a pothole

I started on a sport bike, what's the big deal? I don't have one anymore but that's mostly a consequence of geography than anything, snowy roads are for adventure bikes.

i think that a motorcycle should be okay , a simple and predictable bike for a non experienced its optimal and even for a more experiend biker a simple bike can be usefull for riding without thinking about riding and more more about apreciating everything around him
