Almost 15 years ago, Selena invited me to preach at her Fabulous in My Faith Conference. I had NO idea that one invitation would turn into a relationship that would become this special to me. It was organic. No forcing. No trying. God just connected us. She invited me the first year… then the next year… then the next. And every time I came to pour into the people, somehow God was deepening what He was building between us. Somewhere along the way, Selena went from being someone I ministered to, to becoming my spiritual daughter. And let me tell you … if you know Selena Woods, you already know she is LOADED like a box of Fourth of July fireworks! 😵‍💫🥴🫠😂 I’ve watched you grow through so many seasons; wife, mother of five, corporate executive, pastor’s wife, world-renowned entrepreneur and Kingdom ministry mogul. I’ve watched God stretch you, mature you, elevate you and trust you with MORE. But this weekend? 🥹 While I was ducking, hiding and doing everything possible to stay incognito for the surprise vow renewal, her parents said, “Selena will recognize the side of your head. She may even smell your perfume.” 😂😂😂 That thing HIT ME. What they were really saying was, Our daughter knows her spiritual mother.. Whew. 🥹❤️ Selena, you are ONE OF ONE. There is nobody in this world like you, and I couldn’t be prouder of the woman you have become. I’m grateful God crossed our paths, but I’m even more grateful He allowed us to keep walking together. And Chris… SON!!! You set the standard! Twenty-five years later and you’re still choosing her, loving her and finding ways to make her feel special. Happy 25th Anniversary, Selena and Chris! May God give you 50 MORE years of loving, laughing, growing and doing life together. Selena, I love you. I’m proud of you.
