I had my right one removed back in 2023. Now I’m having my left one removed as well & im going to be honest I feel terrified. That’s it now the last one grew the same but also deep into my chest. I know they said I’ll have a new scar not going through the old one cause it was way lower.

From experience a year from having my thyroid removal, the only question that you actually put on it was right was the last one none of the other ones are concerning questions like this… what are my symptoms when my thyroids are removed what are long-term symptoms how long does it take me to actually recover physically from thyroid removal? Am I gonna be stuck on medication forever? How important are my thyroids for my body? Those are the questions you should ask questions I should have asked cause this healing process is no joke and it’s already been a year 😞

I’m supposed to decide on Thursday on if I wanna get a thyroidectomy or RAI treatment and i genuinely don’t know what to do 😭😭😭 they gave me three months to decide beforehand and i genuinely just don’t know
