I get the appeal either way, I do think the fact that Sukuna had an entire era of jujustu in the golden age of such is misrepresented by so much of the community, did he beat Gojo? Yes, but Gojo had one life which he dominated so much so that it forced curses to evolve to be stronger which still wasn’t any form of competition even on the special grade end of things. Sukuna reigned over his era that even when everyone attempted to mount their strength against him he still was unable to be defeated. Transcending death, and becoming a special grade curse. Sukuna was interested in Megumi due to his technique he was privvy to the abilities of from past sorcerers against a six eyes user (?), reawakening his realization when Megumi subjugated Mahoraga. So along with Sukuna having his own techniques and domain, had the 10 shadows, and even still had to make so many convoluted binding vows which more or less gave him little to no negatives for boundless advantage… AND STILL was getting work from Gojo. Can I blame Sukuna? No, Gojo was chmapioned as if he were the Jesus of Jujustu, Sukuna just happned to be the devil reincarnated with past memories and prowess as a sorcerer still surging through him. Regardless, I cannot wait for this to be animated, it feels ridiculous to say, but this will probably the closest to “Breaking the internet” we will get to DBS for UI or Goku vs. Jiren. The anticipation of this will just keep boiling over especially if fan animations of it will keep coming and evolving.
