@kenneth.oxxqn_5856_404: A San Diego couple expected their golden retriever to protect the house. Instead, he apparently decided the intruder needed a playmate. Four-year-old Nash was caught on home security video approaching an unidentified man who had entered the house last month. But Nash did not bark, hide, or act threatening. He walked up with a toy in his mouth and wagged his tail. Video reportedly shows him trying three separate times to convince the stranger to play. Meanwhile, the intruder appeared to make himself comfortable inside the home, even taking a nap and helping himself to food from the refrigerator. Owners Dante Rowley and Stephanie Calderon were flying home from Chicago when their Ring camera alerted them to movement inside. After seeing the stranger, they contacted police. Rowley later said Nash normally barks when someone first arrives, but once that person is inside, “he just thinks it’s time to play.” Police eventually sent a drone into the house, and officers later entered carrying G*ns. Nash greeted them just as happily. The suspect was ultimately arrested in the backyard. According to Rowley, nothing appeared to have been taken except food. Nash may not have earned a reputation as a terrifying guard dog. But he might have proved he is one of the friendliest.
