My father n law Rudy Jimenez RIP was the Executive Chef for the original magic island restaurant in Balboa beach California and opened this restaurant and created the menu here in Houston back in 1985-86. I had the awesome opportunity to experience this one of a kind dining. The building is still there.

I was a bartender back in 86-the magic elevator was pretty cool and the barstool trick was awesome- great times! Lots of politicians, judges, and celebrities hung out there-Partied with Jimmy Page and Marvin Zinder loved virgin strawberry daiquiris 🤣
