Yazan is 18 years old and takes care of his five other relatives; Yazan wants to go to university, as he passed his exams in July with an 86%, but he has been struggling to get donations. Occasionally I like to go around, commenting under posts or messaging people, asking if anyone can provide support to him via engagement with the posts on this page and on his Instagram (@help_yaza_from_gaza) or donating—because he really needs those. Palestinians have said for years that any mention of an Israeli or Israel in general that doesn’t mention the genocide or the nakba is just normalization of the state of Israel and i fully agree. we are 3 years into an escalated genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank not to mention the active colonization of Lebanon and you cannot be subtle in media about it anymore. you’re either heavy handed or just aiding in normalizing that genocidal state. it’s ridiculous people can’t understand that.
