She's said in the past that touring contributed heavily to her addiction problems and that's why she hasn't toured in a long time.

Why are people mad? Who doesn’t want to work from home. Artists down owe us a tour.

She’s said before that touring is bad for her mental health and sobriety, and that she can not do a full tour due to her vocal cord issues. For her it’s not a choice between touring and doing a residency. It’s a choice between doing a residency and not performing at all.

She didn’t say it’s their job. She said she proved she can still perform for her fans in a way that works for her. Before this she was never planning to perform again! This sounds like a really nice compromise for fans to he’ll get a chance to see her in an exciting city!

She has been working non-stop since she was 13. She is allowed to put her health and mental sanity first. If touring goes against that, she is allowed to not make it a priority.

She’s said that touring makes causes her to struggle with her sobriety. It’s so disrespectful that people are complaining about it, knowing how outspoken she’s been about that.

Idk maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I feel like when it comes to musical artists, the music is enough. Seeing them on tour is just a bonus in my eyes
