The costs of food has become unmanageable, working professionals are having to think about everything that goes in their trolley. We’re vegan so we do save money on meat etc, but we’ve had to really cut down to living off lentils/chickpeas etc to keep costs down, a pack of mock meat or a sandwich filling has become a luxury treat 😕 we’ve even been living off the cheap toastie loafs they sell for 75p as our main bread because I can’t justify £2 on a loaf, but I went to co-op the other day and it’s increased to 90p. Doesn’t sound much but that’s a 20% increase!!
