I remember when the NYT had photos on the front page of aluminium tubes laying in the Iraqi desert and claiming they were missile casings for weapons of mass destruction. It turned out they were just aluminium tubes laying in the Iraqi desert. Millions died following the USA invasion, mostly Iraqis. I don't buy the NYT anymore. Lots of others don't either. Now, this person claims the NYT has "always a been a place where it wants reporters to go to the scene". Well, if it had gone to the Iraqi desert in 2001, it would have saved a million lives - but, it didn't. And it didn't. It's now 2026, and it's just the same ideology at the NYT as it was in 2001. War, fear, politics, war - with a bit of fashion and gossip. The biggest advocate of a broken media are those who benefit the most from it, and this speaker is a big beneficiary of the NYT media machine. He even has what Plato calls the "noble lie" down pat.
