This is Rosie, my best friend and my family. She has been diagnosed with liver lobe torsion, a life threatening condition that requires urgent surgery to save her life. I am only 20 years old and it is just me and Rosie living together in my apartment. She has been my constant companion through everything and watching her become so sick has been the most heartbreaking experience of my life. I have done everything I possibly can to save her. Every penny I have earned has gone towards her treatment. I have emptied my savings, sold my belongings, borrowed money, and exhausted every option I have, but I am still short of what is needed to give her the care she deserves. I cannot keep asking my parents or my friends for help because they have financial responsibilities of their own and are doing their best to keep up with their own bills. I know they would help if they could, but they simply are not in a position to cover such a large veterinary bill. That is why I have turned to the kindness of strangers and the generosity of people who understand how much a pet can mean to someone. I am not asking anyone to donate a large amount. If enough people could spare just £2 or £5, those small acts of kindness could come together and give Rosie the chance to survive. If you are unable to donate, sharing her story would mean just as much. Every share gives her story the chance to reach someone who may be able to help.
