Kudos to the student, but a better check than redoing the problem (time-consuming and likely to result in the same mistakes) is to substitute the solution back into the diffeq and, separately, take limiting cases to check for reasonableness.

That's what l do. For an exam Worth 3 hours l usually finish in 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes then redo everything twice or 3 times before the exam ends. it's beneficial especially if you want to get 100%.
