My partner rarely talks very much. She’s always been shy and is autistic. But when we’re alone she very frequently will just banter for like half an hour about making electronic music, or trains, or a 3D build she’s working on. There’s something so so so beautiful about seeing the special side of them that they don’t show to everyone. 🥰

there's a kind of peace in those moments that can't be faked. day she fell asleep next to me was the first time I felt like maybe I'd found home. but that peace also made me realize how complicated feelings can be and I couldn't untangle them alone. the app I co-founded really helped me find words for it, which sounds silly but it's true.
