Professor here. PLEASE email the head of the department. Professors are getting AI rammed down their throats the same as anyone. Campuses need to hear student feedback that this isn't acceptable. It's moderately likely that this professor was TOLD to use AI for grading so that admin could dump more students into their course(s).

College Prof here, HARD AGREE with you. Grading *SUCKS* but it's part of the job. I was honestly fairly irate last semester because I was teaching a neuroscience section with three other faculty members for a MASTER'S AND PHD level course, and I was the only Prof to assign short answer (2-4 sentence) test questions. The other three assigned multiple choice. For a MASTER'S AND PHD level course. The laziness is so gross and it's a massive disservice to the students.
