![Introducing @goldieslondon Do you want to know where you can get incredible food in one of the most touristy parts of London? I’m on a bit of a mission to showcase some of the great food hiding in central London, and today I’ve come down to Carnaby Street. If you blink you’ll miss it, but tucked next to the Dr. Martens store there’s a small food court and inside it you’ll find Goldie’s. It’s a small, casual restaurant specialising in everything cooked over fire. I want to get onto the main event soon, but they also run an ever-changing specials menu created by their talented head chef @ljefeldn . And the pork belly with Szechuan mayo is easily up there with the best I’ve had. These creative specials is right at my Street but if you’re wanting to go straight to good stuff Goldies managed to combine two of my favourite things burgers and kebabs with this dry aged beef flatbread, packed with caramelised onions and burger sauce with the fresh toasted bread just hits different. These guys clearly know their way around a grill, but the best thing I tried was actually what they’re most famous for their chicken and chips. A lot of love and care has gone into both elements, and it’s actually some of the best value food you’ll find around here. Goldie’s is a great little spot where you can grab something quick for lunch, or sit in and work your way through the menu for dinner. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this place.
