@beincrypto: Warren Buffett has stepped down as Berkshire Hathaway chairman after 56 years, handing the role to his son, Howard Buffett. The board named Warren chairman emeritus, an honorary title with no operational control. Greg Abel remains CEO and continues making Berkshire's investment decisions. Buffett, 96, called the move a formality, noting Howard has effectively made key decisions for some time. Berkshire shares fell more than 2% Thursday ahead of the news. Howard has never commented on Bitcoin, unlike his father, who dismissed it as "rat poison squared."
